How To Download Business Voice Applications

For Assistance, Contact your Business Voice Portal administrator.

• Softphone applications:  An extension created and assigned the SoftPhone Desktop application.

• Text Messaging applications:  A phone number assigned to your Text messaging License.

• Framework applications (Legacy):  Downloads enabled for the user within the Application Framework configuration page.

Using the iOS device, open the   Apple’s  App Store  and complete the step below for the desired application.

• Search for Sangoma Talk.

• Select Sangoma Talk by Sangoma Technologies.

• Search for StarMessinger.

• Select Star2Star Text Messaging by Star2Star Communications.

• Search for Star2Star.

• Select StarFax by Star2Star Communications.

Using the Android device Open Google’s  Play Store  and complete the step below for the desired application.

• Using your Android device, Open the  Play Store  app.

• Search for Sangoma Talk.

• Select Sangoma Talk by Sangoma Technologies.

• Using the Android device click HERE  to Download the installation file.

• If you receive a Warning that the file might be harmful, Select Download anyway.

• After the file is downloaded click OPEN when prompted.

• You may be required to change your Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed.

Warning: If you are required to change Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed, it is highly recommended to reset your Security Setting to NOT unknown apps to be installed after you have installed this app.

• If you missed the initial prompt to open the downloaded file follow the steps below.

• Find and open your My Files App.

• Navigation the Download folder.

• Find and click on Star2Star Text Messaging.apk.

• Using the Android device click HERE  to Download the installation file.

• If you receive a Warning that the file might be harmful, Select Download anyway.

• After the file is downloaded click OPEN when prompted.

• You may be required to change your Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed.

• If you missed the initial prompt to open the downloaded file follow the steps below.

• Find and open your My Files App.

• Navigation the Download folder.

• Find and click on StarFax.apk.

Note: The StarPhone for Desktop application is our legacy desktop softphone application and is no longer available for download. We recommend using the TeamHub Talk app within our TeamHub application. For more information reference the TeamHub User Guide.

Our desktop applications can be downloaded from the Business Voice Portal.

• Log in to the Business Voice portal (Business Voice Portal).

• If you have Administrator rights you may need to select a location.

①   Select the  Individual Phone Settings  option in the left side panel and the the Individual Phone Settings page opens.

②   From the “You are currently modifying settings for extension:” drop-down list, select the appropriate extension for the desired application.

Example: Select the extension that is assigned a Softphone in order to download the softphone application.

③   APPLICATION FRAMEWORK (Legacy)

• It is required that you Read and Accept the End User license Agreement (EULA), located under each application, before the download link will appear.

• Click the appropriate  Accept Windows EULA   or   Accept MAC EULA  to review and accept the EULA.

• After accepting the EULA the “Sangoma Download  [windows]” and “Sanagoma Download  [mac]” links will appear.

• Select the appropriate link (Windows or Mac) for the type of PC the application will be installed on. The system will download the appropriate  Install  file.

• Click on the downloaded file to complete the installation.

The StarMessenger application has been replaced with the Sangoma SMS application. Sangoma SMS can be accessed via the TeamHub App or via teamhub.sangoma.com.
