It is a collaboration platform that brings together channel-based and direct message conversations, video meetings, phone calls and lots of other applications and integrations into a single dedicated workspace that enhances the collaborative experience.

Channels are dedicated spaces that organize your projects and team's collaboration in a way that makes sense to your organization, allowing for discussions that are focused on a specific topic. Because of the dedicated nature of the channel, finding needed content is much easier. Channels can be either Private or Public.

Some ideas for channels to use in your environment:

  • Team Channels - Invite your team to the channel and you can replace disparate online chats, regularly scheduled team meetings and team emails. They can be a great tool to run status meetings and ask questions with recorded responses that can be referenced later or used to train new team members.
  • Project Channels - Ideal for use with any project to discuss open items, document item resolution, provide feedback, and document project decisions.

How to remove a channel

To remove a channel, you need to be the channel owner. Click on the Info icon > More, and click the “Delete Channel” button:

You have 3 options:

Option 1: Enter a phone number and click the Dial icon.

Option 2: Search and select a person in your contacts and click the Dial icon.

Option 3: Click on a user’s name to open the detailed view and click on the Dial icon to make a call.

  • Company Directory: You can search for anyone in your company directory using the search bar or navigating through pages. Company directory is at Customer level, meaning all contacts, no matter which location they are coming from, will be listed there.
  • Personal Contacts: All personal contacts you add into TeamHub are listed and accessible from this view.

All your files including those you shared in channels, direct messages and group conversations along those you directly uploaded are listed here. You can preview, share, download and delete them from this view.

The Notifications icon indicates how many unread notifications you have. When selected, a list of all unread notifications is displayed. From the list, you can mark the activity as read or jump to the activity.

Select this option to update your profile settings or log out of TeamHub.

Secondary Nav Bar

The secondary nav bar provides quick and easy access to each application listed on the main left nav bar. For example, if you are on the “Chat” tab, the secondary navbar shows your channels, group conversations and direct messages. If you click on “Calls”, this menu will be switched to a phone keypad to let you send and receive calls. The same goes for Contacts, Files and any other applications that you have access to.

Channel Browser

Provides a method to search, view or join the Channel. Private Channels are not visible unless you are a member of that Channel.

Past Meetings

Provides access to your video and audio meetings using Sangoma Meet. Click on the desired activity and you will see the history of those meetings along with details like who hosted the meeting, how many participants joined the call and how long that meeting lasted.

Starred Channels

Star a channel to easily maintain a list of your favorite and frequent discussions. Starred Channels are easily accessible as they are broken out from the general channel list.

This section lists all the non-starred Channels that you are a member of. Channels are differentiated by public or private designations:

  • # - Public channels are visible to anyone within the organization, and are open for joining without channel admin approval. Your joined channels will have a notification counter to easily summarize the recent activity in that channel.

  • - Private channels are only visible to the channel members. Members can only be added by the channel owner.

Direct Messages

Direct messages are peer-to-peer conversations that allow you to have direct conversations with anyone inside your organization. Direct messages can be conversations between two individuals, or they can be group messages that include multiple individuals. Group Messages are achieved by adding more than one individual in the “To” field within the compose new message box.

  • The total member count in each group conversation appears to the left of the member names.

  • Create a new Message by clicking on the (+) icon.
