Business Voice - How to Configure Caller Id Blocking

Overview

The Inbound Caller ID blocking feature allows Administrators to block individual or groups of numbers from calling one or any of the locations under a customer account. When someone calls from one of the blocked numbers, instead of connecting, they will hear a fast busy for a few seconds and then the call will be terminated.

Accessing Caller ID Blocking

  • Access the Business Voice portal and select the CONFIGURATION option at the top of the page.
  • Search and Select the required location.
  • Standard Users
  • Select Advanced Settings.
  • Select Inbound Caller ID Blocking.
  • Aurora UsersFrom the Left Side Menu.
  • Select the Call Configuration.
  • Select Inbound Caller ID Blocking.

Adding Numbers to the block Caller Id List

The BLOCKED CALLER IDS field lists all caller ids that are currently blocked.

  • Caller IDs - Enter the numbers that need to be blocked and click the    +ADD BLOCKS    button. Each number must be separated by a comma.

Note - You must enter full valid phone numbers.

  • Block these numbers at all locations - Select this option to block ALL locations from receiving calls from the listed numbers.

Removing Numbers to the block Caller Id List

  • BLOCKED CALLER IDS - Click the Trash Can icon to the right of the desired Caller Id to remove a Caller Id from the list.

Save Changes

  • Once all changes have been completed, click the    SAVE CHANGES TO SYSTEM    button at the top right of the page.
