Business Voice - How to configure Music on Hold

Overview

The MoH (Music/ Message on Hold) feature allows Administrators to set audio files that will automatically play to callers when incoming calls are parked, placed on hold or are in a queue. By default, all Sangoma customers have access to 3 royalty free sound files: Calm River, Sunshine and World Mix.

This feature is available on both BV and BV+ locations, but MoH playlists do NOT apply to remote extensions.

Accessing Music on Hold Options

  • Access the Business Voice portal and select the CONFIGURATION option at the top of the page.
  • Search and Select the required location.
  • Standard Users:
  • Select Advanced Settings.
  • Select On Hold Options.
  • Aurora Users:
  • From the Left Side Menu.
  • Select System Management in the left side menu.
  • Select On-hold options.

Configuring Music on Hold

Administrators will have the option to view their existing playlists or create new playlists or edit music files associated with that playlist.

Add a Playlist

  • In the PLAYLIST panel click the + ADD NEW button.
  • Enter a playlist name.
  • Click the    ADD    button.

Configure a Playlist

  • In the PLAYLIST panel,select an existing playlist.
  • In the PLAYLIST DETAILS panel.
  • Optionally edit the playlist name
  • Select Random play order to have the playlist randomly play the music files.
  • Drag files from the MUSIC FILES panel into the PLAYLIST DETAILS panel, to add files to the playlist.

Delete Playlist

  • In the PLAYLIST panel,select an existing playlist.
  • Click the DELETE button in the PLAYLIST DETAILS panel.
  • When prompted click the    DELETE   to confirm deletion.

Add New Music files

  • In the MUSIC FILES panel click the + ADD FILE button.
  • File
  • Click on Select File.
  • Select a file.
  • Name
  • Enter a name for the music file.
  • Click the    ADD    button.

CALL PARK TIMEOUT

  • Enter the number of seconds the music will play before the call will go into the configured failover option. The default value is 600 seconds.
