Sangoma Meet is secure and encrypted, thus audio and video transmitted from your computer through the internet is fully secured and cannot be listened to by a third party. The underlying technology is based on WebRTC, which is already part of today's modern browsers like Chrome and Firefox.
Sangoma Meet does not record or store any personal data on servers. We do collect performance and analytics data in order to monitor and keep the service stable. Sangoma Meet also auto configures passcodes on meeting creation, which are appended to the meeting invite link. This increases the security of the conference since only participants with access to the passcode can join the meeting.
The moderator (host) can edit the passcode from within a live meeting at any time if required. The passcode can be accessed from the shield icon located at the bottom of the meeting screen.
This shield should always be in green colour as long as you have the meeting locked with a passcode. If you remove the passcode, the shield icon will turn into orange to warn you. We recommend to always keep the meeting passcode for maximum security.
