Contact Center - Provisioning SIP Phones

Overview

This guide provides the steps to provision both Polycom and Yealink phones for Contact Center.

Note: Panasonic or Vtech devices are no longer supporting

Factory Reset

For all phones, local and remote, begin with a factory reset.

Polycom Local:

  1. In the portal under “devices” enable vlan 45
  1. Set device to desired location and save
  1. Press “Provision SIP hard phones” for the location being used
    1. Tenant > locations > right side of page under “actions”
  1. On the phone set option 66
    1. Settings > advanced > admin > network > provisioning server > dhcp menu > boot server
  1. Set server type and remove credentials
    1. Provisioning server > server type > tftp
    1. Provisioning server > server user (blank)
    1. Provisioning server > server password (blank)
  1. Set to vlan 45
    1. Ethernet menu > vlan menu > vlan id

Polycom Remote:

  1. In the portal, disable vlan45
  1. Set the device location to “none” and save
  1. Press “Provision SIP hard phones”
  1. On the phone set static
    1. Provisioning server > dhcp menu > boot server > static
  1. Set http
    1. Provisioning server > server type > http
  1. Set provisioning url
    1. Provisioning server > server address > set url
    1. https://yourdomain.starcenter.star2star.com/api/provision/phone?mac=macadd
  1. Remove server user and password (if present)
  1. Remove vlan 45
    1. Ethernet menu > vlan menu > vlan id
  1. Reboot the phone behind a router
  1. Log in to agent using “default server” location and select the device

Default passwords:

  1. Before configuration - 456
  1. After configuration - 2580

Yealink Local:

  1. In the portal under “devices” enable vlan 45
  1. Set device to desired location and save
  1. Press “Provision SIP hard phones” for the location being used
    1. Tenant > locations > right side of page under “actions”
  1. On the phone set to vlan 45
    1. Settings > advanced > network > vlan > wan port
  1. Boot the phone behind the node

Yealink Remote:

  1. Disable vlan 45 in the portal
  1. Set device to "none" and save
  1. Press “Provision SIP hard phones” for the location being used
    1. Tenant > locations > right side of page under “actions”
  1. Remove vlan 45
    1. menu > advanced >network > vlan > wan port
  1. set the provisioning url
    1. https://yourdomain.starcenter.star2star.com/api/provision/phone?mac=
  1. Reboot the phone behind a router
  1. Login agent using "default server" location and select the device

Default passwords:

  1. default - admin
  1. SC3 configured - mandioca99
  1. S2S configured - s2s45pass
